LTRVD Episode 34 – Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! Welcome to another edition of the podcast.

First of all, I am very thankful for my health, for the support of my family, for you who make it possible for me to make a living doing what I love, and for living in this great country where everything is possible.

This year I decided to change it up and make a traditional cuban dinner. It consists of roast pork, rice and black beans, cassava, and flan. For wine I went with the French Beaujolais Nouveau wine.

The trip out west

I’m thinking of making a beeline for Quatzsite after the Tampa RV Supershow and catch the tail end if the Quartzite rally. From there I intend to visit Phoenix, Sedona, Flagstaff, and then east to Albuquerque, into Texas, on the way back to Florida. My mom might join me for part of this trip.

Utah’s All-American Road

I came across this article on Trailer life magazine bout Utah Scenic Byway 12, which goes from just west of Bryce Canyon into Capital Reef State Park. Of course when I was there I didn’t know about it so I took an alternate route, so now I must return.

I also talk about another article about the 150th anniversary of the birth of Laura Ingalls Wider, author of the Little House on the Prairie book series. The article talks about a road trip to all the sites mentioned in the novels.
